Bill Rickard ”Dobson” open back banjo med 11″ sarg.  Den kanadensiske banjobyggaren Bill Rickard producerar fantastiskt fina oldtimebanjos i genuin stil. ”Dobson” har 1/2″ (12,5 mm) lönnsarg med en Dobson style tonring på topp, 10:1 Cyclone stämskruvar, frailing scoop för bekvämt clawhammerspel, alla metalldelar antikbehandlade. Halsen har dragstång som justeras vid halsens häl. Remo Renaissance banjoskinn, capo spikes för 5:e strängen på 7 & 9 bandet och hårt etui.

The Dobson model has 1/2″ maple rim with a Dobson style tone ring on top. 10:1 Cyclone tuners, frailing scoop, all metal parts antiqued. Truss rod in the neck adjusted from the heel of the neck. Remo Renaissance head, capo spikes and deluxe hardshell case.

The Dobson model with the ½ Inch thick rim has a little more sustain and slightly cleaner note separation. The Maple Ridge with the 3/8” thick rim has a faster note decay and has a slightly stronger mid-range response. David Holt described the Maple Ridge has having that “far away sound” which I thought was a great general description. Both models have a nice low end response.
